Privacy policy

Last updated October 27, 2026

prep.kcan.us does not require an account and does not ask for your name or email address to use the practice tests. This page explains what is stored when you use the site, and how advertising works.

Cookies we set

• Session cookie (prep_sid): keeps your test progress and recent results with your browser for up to 30 days, and protects forms against forgery.
• Supporter cookie (prep_af): only if you redeem a supporter code. It turns ads off in that browser until the code expires.

What we store on our server

• Your test answers, linked only to a random test id, so we can score your test, show your results and improve unclear questions.
• Standard web server logs (IP address, browser, pages requested and time), used to keep the site running and secure.
• If you donate, a record of your supporter code so it can be checked and, if needed, revoked. Payment is handled by the donation provider; we never see your card details.

We do not sell your information.

Advertising

We use Google AdSense to show ads. Google and its partners use cookies to serve ads based on your visits to this and other websites. Google's use of advertising cookies lets it and its partners show ads to you based on your visit to this site and other sites on the internet.

• You can opt out of personalised advertising in Google Ads Settings.
• You can opt out of some third-party vendors' use of cookies for personalised advertising at aboutads.info.
• Learn more at How Google uses information from sites or apps that use its services.

Supporters who redeem a code see no ads, and the AdSense script is not loaded for them.

Children

The site is meant for people studying for professional certifications and is not directed at children under 13.
